We started our second day with a delicious breakfast prepared by Olinda, the mother of our friend Una. Coffee and orange juice were accompanied by homemade bread prepared with many spices. When bread is smeared with butter, cream cheese and homemade jam berries of both local and other fruit: the rubharb. We also ate crepes, or “pancakes crisis” as they call it in Iceland. This is because they are made with leftovers from the preparation of porridge, which is a typical breakfast food in times of crisis.
After breakfast we take a walk around the farm, we approach the horses has Olinda. She trains, and presents exhibitions and competitions. In total there were 29 horses of all ages, including three of them born just a few months earlier in the spring.
Horses are very curious and approached us as we walked parallel to them, allowing acariciasemos. It was her way of greeting and welcome us to Iceland. Also arrived just in time to witness the whole process of courtship and romance that took place between a pair of horses on the farm.
Icelandic horses are different horses from around the world. They are slightly smaller and have lots of hair on the head. In the last century, cultural tourism or tribe is often motivated by curiosity and an element of voyeurism that cannot appreciate the lifestyle to the land of the tribe. Fortunately, in recent decades this trend has been defeated by a healthy attitude marked by interest in a sincere and responsible attitude, characterized by respect and appreciation for the subject. A search for understanding has been taking tourists to remote corners of Africa, America and Asia to find information about alternative ways of living. Anthropology studies and documentary television has sparked growing interest in cultural tourism, more driven by tourism companies and state governments to see new economic opportunities in their backyard. Celebrities contribute their mite to bring a new place for the world’s attention either through the adoption of children or to visit this distant land. Cultural tourism has definitely come, even growing by leaps and bounds. How does this affect his own tribe, anyway?
In the northwestern region of Namibia, the Himba tribe lives. They live in the desert Kaokoland and have done since time immemorial. The Himba women are decorated with a large amount of jewelry and elaborate braids, a lot of pride in their femininity. Rub their bodies with a mixture of ocher, butter and herbs to give your skin translucent perfection. The Himba live in the fruit of the earth in isolation until tourism fell backwards beautiful.
